Licensed Land Surveyor
We currently have a full-time (40 hours per week) position open for a Licensed Land Surveyor, with all the benefits outlined in the ‘Employment Opportunities’ section of this web site [we would also be willing to consider a candidate for a part-time position as well]. The ideal candidate has a degree in Land Surveying from an accredited university or has gained an equivalent educational knowledge from job experience and a Land Surveyor’s License or Civil Engineering License with right to practice Land Surveying in the State of California. He or she is competent in the use of AutoCAD, and familiar with a variety of field survey equipment.
Salary will be commensurate with experience, and we have a reputation for compensating our employees fairly and competitively. It is our policy not to post the salary range for our job opportunities. We are open to discussion of salary during the selection and interview process.

Accepts and balances timeline for survey-related jobs incoming from Principal and Engineering Vice President, using own organizational methods and MS Outlook and Access; |

Utilizes AutoCAD, Eaglepoint, MS Word, MS Excel to personally prepare or supervise the preparation of:
- ALTA surveys
- Final Maps
- Parcel Maps
- Records of Survey
- Corner Records
- Construction Staking Plans
- Topographic Surveys
- Boundary Adjustments
- Right-of-way Dedications
- Right-of-way Vacations
- Easement Dedications
- Easement Vacations
- Tentative Maps
- Tentative Parcel Maps
- Presentation Exhibits
- Permit Processing |
| • |
Personally field surveys, or supervises survey crew members, the above projects; |
| • |
Prepares transmittals and other written communication, and communicates by phone with government agencies and other consultants; |

Communicates with clients with written and oral methods regarding project status, forecasting, and general questions and comments; |
| • |
Supervises and utilizes the assistance of drafting and office management staff to perform functions and develop project, through e-mail, phone, and direct communication; |
| • |
Contributes, during meetings and other correspondence, to improve the speed, efficiency, and ease with which the survey department produces their products and services; |
| • |
Becomes and remains familiar with the company’s standard inserts such as symbols, notes, details, legend items, title blocks, etc., and creates new survey drafting standards as needed; |
| • |
Becomes and remains familiar with the company’s use of paper/model space, x-refs, and AutoCAD/Eaglepoint file management; |
Designer/Draftsperson, Land Development
We currently have a full-time (40 hours per week) position open for a Land Development Designer/Draftsperson with all the benefits outlined in the Employment Opportunities section of this web site. The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year university and a strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2000 or higher. He or she has 1-4 years of design experience in Land Development. We will also consider candidates with solid AutoCAD drafting experience in similar or related fields.

Prepares transmittals and other written communication, and may communicate by phone with government agencies and other consultants on minor projects. |

Communicates with clients with written and oral methods regarding project status, forecasting, and general questions and comments on minor projects. |

Supervises and utilizes the assistance of of their drafting and office management staff to perform functions and develop project, through e-mail, phone, and direct communication. |

Contributes, during meetings and other correspondence, to improve the speed, efficiency, and ease with which all of the company employees produce their products and services, especially on AutoCAD-releated subjects.
Becomes and remains familiar with the company’s standard inserts such as symbols, notes, details, legend items, title blocks, etc. |

Becomes and remains familiar with the company’s use of paper/model space, x-refs, and AutoCAD/Eaglepoint file management. |

Gains and remains familiar with government agency processing procedures, standard forms, standard details, etc. |

Perform basic civil-engineering calculations related to earthwork, minor storm drain systems. |
